The lamp is made of white lacquered enamelled metal, with an opaline Plexiglas diffuser and a compact fluorescent lamp (CFL).
Sabine Charoy received the “Lampe d’Or” award for this design at the Paris Lighting Fair in 1981. The lamp subsequently entered the permanent collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
