100 YEARS OF VERNER PANTON

To mark the centenary of Verner Panton’s birth, Designmuseum Danmark pays tribute to one of the boldest figures in the history of Danish design. Throughout 2026, visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the designer’s colourful universe — a world in which the boundaries between art, furniture and architecture dissolve.

A visionary of Scandinavian design, Verner Panton profoundly redefined the relationship between people, space, form and colour. Driven by boundless curiosity and an exceptional spirit of experimentation, he challenged the established principles of modernism and expanded its visual and conceptual language.

His creations are far more than simple objects: they are true sensory experiences. Through the use of innovative materials and organic forms, they engage the eye, encourage movement, and create spaces for play, discovery and contemplation.
